This is a sweet little hole in the wall! If you drive too fast you'll miss it and that would be a damn shame! Behind the counter is the proud and so very kind owner (she reminded me of my Abuelita ). She makes much of the food with her own labor and it is yummy! The cafe is filled with trinkets and beautiful art reflective of South American culture. It has a tiny upstairs which is the perfect spot to have a latte or one of the treats of the day while reading a book or studying! If you like homey, sweet and a through back to grandmas kitchen this is the place for you. Don't go if you are in a rush because it is an experience to savor!

Went here on a whim and got a nice little brunch. Good amount of options for vegans, vegetarians and omni eaters. There is ample street parking on the neighborhood cross streets. We had the Avocado toast- nice flavor and seasoning, nice complementary side salad to offset the bread. veggie sando- roasted veggies on baguette were fresh and scrumptious. chicken chipotle sando- toasty bread with nicely seasoned chicken and good chipotle sauce. Chia pudding without yogurt- light and sweet home made coconut pudding with granola and fresh fruit & drizzled with honey. I also appreciate the normal lemon wedges they gave us. Presumably, the owner, the smiling woman who took our order was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Great sandwiches and coffee and wonderful owners and employees. It is definitely where to go in the neighborhood for some great food and coffee!

Great neighborhood cafe serving good coffee, breakfast, and lunch. Love their bagel and lunch sandos. El Tren is like a cross between a torta and a banh mi, which I absolutely love. Salads are fresh and tasty too. The ladies running this spot are super nice and I am always happy to stop by and support them.

The owner is so nice. You can come here to grab you a sandwich, a breakfast sandwich, a croissant, so coffee or some Mexican coffee which was delicious she so kind to give me a sample. You can order some Chia Fruit! My favorite thing here to order it the The Lox Bagel, with the salmon, capers, cream cheese, on an Everything Bagel! The customers service is amazing and the owner also voluntarily gave me a sample of the Chia with fruit and it was good.

Im so pumped about this place I'm writing this mid sandwich! Soooo good! I got El Desperdicio, their roasted pork and bacon sandwich- everything about it is delicious- the meat, the bread, the pesto and aioli, the pickled onions- chef's kiss! Even the dressing on the greens you get alongside the sammie is delish. The best part about Romo Cafe, is they have Cafe De Olla! Being so delicious you'd think it's be easier to find in Oakland- so happy to have this blocks from home. The employees were lovely. Can't wait to go back!

Food - I LOVE LOVE the food at this cafe. So delicious I'm stuck on the chipotle chicken sandwich and the iced mocha. So delicious and fresh. I can't wait to try new items on the menu. The salad that comes with the sandwich is amazing with the homemade dressing they make at the cafe. They take over the phone orders which makes it wonderful if you're on a work break. Food is still fresh and hot when you pick it up. The service is PHENOMENAL at Romo's cafe. I love the owners and the staff so welcoming they always show love. Thank you ladies. You all are appreciated. The ambiance is beautiful here. I love the Mexican style art and the lovely vibrant colors. They plants just makes it feel so homey and welcoming. I love coming here.

Back again. Peaceful Saturday! Appreciated the regulars inside that kept the cafe quiet. Definitely a little focusing spot for anyone that just wants to get a couple of things done for work in the morning.
